Wade,
I Think these are Togare and his wife Lora Ernette Tex, He worked 8 lions and 4 tigers, she worked with seven polar bears.
Bjorn
Bjorn,
Thank you. Boy, the Togare family was sure into some strange looking costumes.
Wade
Looks like the costume in the first picture with a robe over it in the second and Lora's is what the Mounties would look like in skirt, tights and heels. Very authentic in a forward thinking sort of a way.

Ian,
What? Nice patch for these folks. I was thinking of the head sash, waist sash, baggy pants, bare chest, jeweled jock strap the other Togare wore.
The Circus "NO SPIN ZONE": Togare
Wade,
Lora came frome Mexico, I have to look up her real name because Tex whas her stage name I think. as far as costumes go it's the 1920's mabey back then it whas the latest fashion for wildanimal trainers.
Bjorn
Bjorn,
She came from Mexico and her stage name was "Tex???" I don't think the costume was a fashion statement. I think it was just "par for the course." :)
Wade
Wade,
Lora Ernette Tex whas born in 1891 in Mexico as Lora Ernette Prieto, she died on September 14 1945 in Radebeul. Thats all I could find about her.
