A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

By visiting the Milner Library website at Illinois State University, you can see many of these in color slides from the Sverre Braathen collection.

Bobby,
Are you f**king with me??? What's up with this: Access to electronic indexes and databases is limited by contract with the providing vendors to current Illinois State University students, faculty, and staff. The Milner Library proxy server will allow authorized individuals to use the indexes and databases when connecting through a computer off of the ISU campus or not using the campus dialup system for Internet access.
I can't deal with anything more high tech then an on/off switch on a computer. Give me a break.....

These photos as well as the others showing closed cages with pneumatic tires are from ca 1946 - -not the 1930s.
I have this set of photos and by getting them out and comparing to my cage lists with contents can likly say what was in each.
Richard,
We will look forward to that further information, thank you.
