And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. This is Terry Duggan with Sir Robert Fossett's four lionesses, one lion and two leopards. The two leopards had originally worked in Bailey Fossett's mixed group of small cats. One was particularly dangerous and was taken out of this act after Belle Vue or during the following season. I saw the act in 1963 and '64. There was only one leopard in the act in '64. The lions continued up until the late '60s. The male lion that is not pictured sat under the bridge to form the pyramid. His name was Romeo. Terry Duggan was originally trained by Dick Chipperfield Snr. He worked various animal acts up until he joined Sir Robert Fossett's. His most famous act on Chipperfield's was the presentation of two lionesses in the bouncer wagon, which was drawn in the ring by an elephant depicting the old style lion act. I remember seeing it and being absolutely terrified as a child. Terry worked for me in 1977/78. He was then doing a trapeze act with his wife. He also did the cannon on Chipperfield's.

Jim,
The circus clause "generally useful" could be defined as legal rape. Dory Miller and a few others used it to the full extent of the law. Terry Duggan it seems would have been very receptive to "generally useful." :) Which one of your act's did Terry present?

Terry didn't present one of my acts. He did his trapeze act with his wife in my own circus. He always stood on the gate for me during that Christmas period. I had a small group of five lionesses, one of which was very difficult.
