A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Anonymous,
Great stuff, thank you for sharing. Goofball's is right. They will go to impossible length's to obtain one succulent morsel. Why anyone would scoff at the idea of giving an animal a reward, as motivation for learning a behavior, or how they could even think it is possible without it, I'll never know. What more proof of it's advantages/benefits would you need then these goats? I've often said a Blooded horse is one of God's greatest creatures, pure Nobility and grace. He will carry General's into furious battles, obediently responding to command as he has been taught. That same animal will also give up the General's location to the enemy for a carrot. :) They are what they are. They are not what we want them to be.
