About 15 minutes into the movie Water For Elephants, they shoot the interior of the tent while a performance is going on. If you look quick you will see the best part of the movie, the lovely Airbex doing an iron jaw spin. There is a raging debate currently ongoing as to how long she was actually on screen. I say a solid 3 seconds, not quite 4. Casey Cainin, who hasn't even seen the movie yet say's, "no way, your crazy!!!! It was no more than 2 seconds." Regardless, and it's a travesty for sure, it apparently wasn't enough to warrant red carpet treatment at the premier or at the very least a limo ride to Taco Bell afterwords........

Come on give our Rebecca a huge 4-Stars...And by all means she must receive a Stars Dressing Room from now on....And how about VARGAS getting all that PR?
Dave,
I did give her huge stars, and pointed out how she got shafted by Hollywood favoritism. Vargas got PR for what? More empty seat? Another example of the movie's low budget. What's in Calif so we don't have a lot of travel expense to shoot it? At least use old footage of Vargas, when it was Vargas with three rings. No, better to illustrate the circus's strides to greatness, from a one ring canvas tent in 1931 to a one ring plastic tent in 2011. More appropriate would have been the use of Ringling as the modern day setting, as it was an issue in the movie, but there would have been a cost that the budget apparently didn't have. Benzini tanked, and Ringling carried on. Seems more legitimate to me.

it was a lot of seconds!! and two different angles and I am feeling pretty and popular.
I think they used Vargas because they are a biggish kind of tent show and they were in the area, also Jacob was from the tent show era so natch he would be going to a tenter...
more than 2 seconds for sure !!!!
Rebecca,
OK, your right. If you say a strong 3 seconds, but not 4 is a lot of seconds, then it can be a lot of seconds.
Don't worry about the shot "angles" right now. Besides, Jimmy Houston used the same shot "angles" to death on Backwoods Angler landing bass. More importantly, have your lawyer look at the contract Spielberg and Lucas just sent, get it signed and send it back, pronto. You have to strike while the iron is hot, as those back end points you got for Water aren't going to last forever.
Wade
P.S. being a biggish kind of show, not withstanding, what other show was in the area besides Vargas, within the budgeted $100.00 worth of fuel? Jacob was from a 1930 tent show era, so natch he would be going to a tenter? Makes as much sense as hiring a Solei choreographer to advise on a depression era circus. Did anybody on this deal have any idea what was going on?
yes Wade!! tent show people are loyal in a strange emotional way to the tent show
Rebecca,
Is that how you answer questions you have raised? That sound's more like an alibi, akin to "you just have to have faith there is a God."
