State Elephant

I don't know if this is a Baroda elephant or not. It appears to be a female, or a tuskless male. Either way, everything I have read states that Baroda used only male elephants for state ceremonies. Does anybody have any idea's? What an unbelievable world ancient India was. It's hard to wrap your brain around what it truly was, and the best "fantasy" writers of today haven't even come close to what actually was.
