Eloise Berchtold--Hawthorn Wild Animal Fantasy--Stead AFB Reno, Nevada--Polack Circus 1957

Bill Hall, Dave Orr and some of you other "old timers" who can still remember back this far, will note the familiar green and white Hawthorn trailers in the back ground, and the tractors had red lettering saying "Hawthorn Circus Corp." I think the color was changed to blue in 77 or 78 with white lettering changed to "Hawthorn Corp," dropping "Circus" from the title. The trailer on the far right may have eventually become the "two part" trailer for Herta Cuneo's bears, the front a box truck with cages, and the back a trailer that attached with a ring hitch for hauling the props, and when emptied we used it as a dressing room on outdoor dates.
