Has anybody ever been to the Teton's? Well, I have and this looks like nothing I ever saw. In fact, it looks a lot like Vancouver's Stanley Park Zoo(except their totems were authentic), and that closed a decade ago. Who ever thought the majestic building's and museum's of zoological learning and enlightenment of yesterday, would be replaced by Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg story boards.

Ease up on than Disney stuff. WDI (Imagineering)works to be quite accurate when doing projects like Africa in Animal Kingdom. With a good "set" you can tell the story of the animals and their environment. What makes Disney exceptional is their attention to detail, not just tossing some props together. I agree about Stanley Park. Maybe they took on too much, just stick with the Tetons or the Pacific Northwest with their totems.
Hey, I'll lighten up. Memphis has a nice Zoo and its also the home of Graceland. Maybe they know their audience.
Jim,
Disney's a step away from the Avatar Zoo. No smells, but to die for 3D effects.
I am goofing on Memphis, as it is a great zoo. Historically, great zoo's have been overshadowed by "big city" zoo's such a London and the Bronx, Chicago, San Diego or zoo's like your beloved St. Louis famed for a personality.
I recall my amazement upon first seeing the North Carolina Zoo, and my disappointment upon first seeing the San Diego Zoo. Great PR is very seldom factual PR. The exotic destination travel zoo must be what the public want's, as they all seem to be building in that direction.
