14th Century Manuscript--Artist Unknown

This illustration is from a manuscript housed in the British Library titled, "Harley 3240 f. 28 , Detail Elephant" and states the artist is German or Swiss. Compare the elephant feet, trunk, body to the animal below. Unless elephants looked like this in the 14th Century, the similarities are striking.
