I know it was. The rasti's thought he was "THE" God. Haile many times went on record as saying, "a mortal man can not be a God, and I am just a mortal man", but the Rastafarian's weren't buying it. What's with Bob Marley? Halie Selassie couldn't have been any thing special, because I never heard Patsy Cline, Eddy Arnold, or even Chris LeDoix ever mention his name. LOL
