Exterior of Oklahoma City Zoo's "Pachyderm House"





Replacing a gate above in 2005. Growing up in North Dakota, I didn't have the opportunity to see many zoo's, only the Bismark Zoo and the Minot Zoo. I was blown away by Jungle Larry's African Safari but when I saw my 4th zoo, the Oklahoma City Zoo, you could not have convinced me it was not the Garden of Eden. Lawrence Curtis former Director and one of the founders of AAZPA, now AZA was one of my "animal guy hero's." It remains one of North America's greatest zoo's and is always at the forefront of the ever changing zoological animal habitat contest. Below is a link to their newest project:
