Big Cat Falls--Philadelphia Zoo

The Philadelphia Zoo, arguably America's oldest zoo, has done a remarkable job of remodeling and reusing their older exhibits and buildings. It is the wave of the future in zoo's, and every effort should be made to keep the old buildings, rockwork, and architecture and "work around it," while at the same time greatly improving and enhancing the life of the captive animals. It will take more knowledge and skill, then was originally needed to design and build in the first place. A lot of it was guesswork back then. Not today, because we should know what is needed and required.
