I have long admired the Russian Circus animal trainers and their efforts at attempting something different, instead of the same old, same old animal presentations. Does anyone know any more about the "Vlad Circus" in the clip above filmed I believe in 2008 or 2009? Also, before anyone "slam" the spikes overhanging the arena, we can assume they were just part of the atmosphere and decor of the act props and presentation. The gentleman does have a dandy, grand mal seizure towards the end of the clip, when somebody apparently didn't do as they were instructed. We've been there, done that, haven't we Jim Clubb. LOL

Definitely different. Very creative acts. Maybe at times a little bit on the cheezy side but it's a show after all. Animal husbandry, probably a little different discussion.

With feline's is where they have tended to fall a bit short with their husbandry procedures. Not as much of an issue with the domestics and some of the other exotic's, given their habitat requirements for health, safety and well being. Feline's and omnivores is where I feel they may have stepped over the line at times, in a effort at being different or "for the first time ever." I have to assume, that eventually you may even be able to teach an elephant to fly, if you pushed enough of them out of the plane.

The stag/winter number was pretty cool. The mixed act with zebras was a bit odd - maybe if you saw the whole thing it would be clearer. A dog act as a production number hmmm. Don't now what to say about the cats.
