There is a you tube video of this trainers act opening, in it he has an "audience" member come in to the ring and stand in the center while the first lion makes his entrance.
In the clip the person who greeted the lion entering the ring, was the camera man for the American news crew doing the story about the trainer.
The lion came in, ignored the camera man circled him and went to his seat. The trainer claimed to have been using this opening for many years.
