I remember when this act won a "gold clown" at the Monte Carlo Circus Festival, the year the Russian Government sponsored most of the act's and paid for the awards. When it was announced as winning gold, there was a major uproar in the MC festival fan community, when it was discovered that the animals were declawed, and kept in illegal cage's out behind the chateau. When I suggested to some in the circus, that the training methods were suspect, I was chastised for being jealous for not being "invited" to participate in a MC Festival(actually I was, twice, but turned it down for reasons well know). These "animal training experts" from my industry pointed out in no uncertain terms that, "he only uses one small stick!!!!." When I pointed out that, "he probably threw the other one at the poor tiger's", they turned in disgust at my impudence, and continued signing autographs for the folks. Note 1.10 in the above clip.

What's a "McFestival?" Can I get a Happy (the Clown) Meal?

"...illegal cages behind the chateau..."
A chateau is a manor house.
Suppose you meant a chapiteau, a circus tent.

Bruce the Clown,
Yes you can still get the happy meal at the McFestival, but don't look for the free prize to be what you are familiar with. Now that the kingdom has gone "pc" and sent their leopards back to the homeland, they aren't offering the autographed Radar Easley "circus sno" picture, the topless babes on St. Tropez trading cards, or my favorite, the miniature plastic windup scooter of Albert, the Jester Prince. Now they offer you the option of either an apple or brie cheese, plus and I think this is outrageous, the Bordeaux shakes are now a dollar more then either the chocolate or strawberry.

Anonymous assistant to John Cooper,
Oh course I know the difference. I was referring to behind the "duplex" Prince Rainer lived in. It seemed more tawdry that way. If I had said, "behind the chapiteau", Ian would have said, "so what else is new?" LOL
