Vintage Springfield Mass. Zoo--Morganetta the elephant

Dates of these photo's are unknown. In the mid 60's member's of the local Shrine Temple got three sheeted one night, and went to the zoo and got Morganetta. They took her to the local watering hole where they were partying, and after getting her into the bar, she wouldn't go back out through the same door she entered, so they had to remove a window of the bar, so they could get her back to the zoo. Ray Stevens said it all in "Ahab, The Arab." LOL
