Beautiful Animal Art by Joel J. Hall

CHIMPANZEE EDINBURGH ZOO OIL PAINTING ON BOARD

From the artist Mr. Joel J. Hall: I wanted to capture one of the Chimps alone (quite difficult considering Edinburgh Zoos' large Chimp group) and I liked the idea of an African animal backed by a very British landscape; and I am always intrigued by zoo architecture and our attempts to stimulate captive animals. A lot of people see loneliness or unhappiness in the single chimp, but that was not really my intention, I think he was just getting a quiet moment away from all the pandemonium occuring below.

CALIFORNIA SEA LION EDINBURGH ZOO OIL PAINTING ON BOARD

From the artist, Mr. Joel J. Hall: An Oil Painting I made in 2004... the statuesque pose of the basking Sea Lion, juxtaposed against the rather imposing and unsightly hotel architecture in the background struck me at the time.

This painting was created as a composite of several images and a few rough sketches.

It was painted on primed board and measures approx. 22 x 34 inches.

Mr. Hall is an incredible artist. Not only that but he seems to get his message across about animal welfare without the "shock" factor needed by animal rights, and by the artist the Grumpy Vegan endorses. Mr. Hall speaks to an legitimate concern, while the Grumpy Vegan and his artist, who don't really have much have to made it up, and add it to an animal right's activist's long list of psychosis and cause's. In my mind Mr. Hall art is doing more to raise mans awareness to the impending disaster of overpopulation, then anything Grumpy Vegan's artist could come up with. Twisted vegan/animal rights activists would argue that he is a "user" of animals, because he does his work at a zoo. That is how cockeyed they think. If you point out that they are making their living by being a "user" of animals trying to stop everyone else from making their living as "users" of animals, it doesn't make any sense. When you live in Private Idaho it is not about sense or reality, it is about made up stories/stories out of context and fantasy.
