Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza horses

Watch at 2:49 as the young groom places the crupper on the horse, in a unique way that I have never seen before. Has anyone else seen one placed on a horse like this?

Don't know why they wouldn't use a buckle there, they must have their reasons. Pretty good way of making tail protectors through on those that sit on their tails in the trailer

Dianne,
You noticed the tail protector's also. I have on of those Portuguese/Spanish saddles with the crupper. I bought a few months ago. It doesn't have a buckle either, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how you got the tail in. I was considering having it cut off at the cantle, and having a ring with a snap added. Now that I have seen this video, I am going to start teaching my Friesian Guapo, first thing in the morning, although he has a lot more hair to get in then these Lusitanos.
