Remit: "This consultation is seeking views on how best to safeguard the
welfare of wild animals in travelling circuses. 

Options being consulted on are a complete ban on the use of wild animals,
statutory regulations and voluntary self-regulation by circuses. Animal
welfare organisations and the circus industry have agreed that 'business as
usual' is not an option.
