A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

As you know there's 2 Vincents.
This post is from the Vincent that asked about incentives for trainers to update acts and then slammed you with Q's about your mixed act. The pics were "awesome".
From here on I'll sign off Vincent/San Diego. I don't want you thinking I followed up a bunch of questions with more act questions.
I went back and read the previous postings from "B" the "jaguar trainer" she is constantly writing about how all of her cats were "leashed trained". Have you ever leash trained a big cat? Wouldn't a leash at best be a false sense of security.
Even when when I see my favorite pics of GGW with prince on top of his elephant with a leash and a big stick my thought is "if the cat wants to go, he's going leash or no leash".
I only know Vincent Manero. If you are a new Vincent, I need for you to email me at wburck3@aol.com with a full name and introduction. Otherwise, sign your complete name please.
Yes, I have trained a number of leash cat's,(none declawed, as I don't believe in it or advocate it. For domestic as well as wild felines) and yes, it is not safe after a certain age, for the people around, not the trainer, and that age is different for each of them. If they want to go they will go.
