When "exotic animal" auctions became popular in the mid 70's/80's, they hadn't change much from the menagerie sales of old, which may be why they shut down so quick. Noting the engraving on the bottom, why anyone would build a cage/habitat with only one door at the front, I will never know. There are enough examples of that idiocy, through history, to show you the problems involved. Yet I know a "well known" animal facility in Illinois who did just that, because "it's never been a problem before!!!" The stress on the animal is mind boggling.
