It still amazes me to see a whip used to work one elephant. A whip is common place/accepted in Europe, unheard of anymore in the United States for even large herds of elephants.

This act contains two african elephants. For me as a european its not uncommon, at Krone they use a whip, at Knie too. I'm no pro so can't give a motivation for it.
