I don't normally spend much time on dog's or cat's, as pet's just aren't my cup of tea. But in this case our Foreign Artistic Correspondent, the esteemed John Cooper gave this act a good rating, with the suggestion that if I came across a picture of Vlad's wife, she was most assuredly worth a second look. Boy, you sure weren't fooling, mate. She is indeed a beauty.

Merci beaucoup, Jean.
Wade, I of couse think the little white cats are adorable, and I notice that two have long hair and one has short hair. However, I agree with you that they probably don't belong in a circus. They are much more appropriate in Key West at Mallory Square at sunset, or in someone's house.
Mary Ann
Vlad/Vladislav Olandar is with Cirkus Benneweis in Denmark this year, opening on 18 March about 20 miles vaguely north of Copenhagen.
I have yet to discover the forename of his wife.
Yet again the Great Burck has not realised that a name has been spelt properly on this blog many times.
Cirque d'Hiver.
Mary Ann,
I didn't infer they don't belong in the circus any more than any other animal. What I did infer was, they don't belong on this planet. Unless they are in the stable, staying out of the way, and killing feed room invading, saddle pad eating, insulation scattering rats and mice. Dog's are allowed it they pull something, guard something, point or retrieve something, when they are not in their box in the corner, shutting up.
Wade
Wade, you don't understand that "God created house cats so that we may caress the tiger". Cats are for cuddling, even if one has a human partner to cuddle. I thought that you would have watched and learned something about this in the Baby Barn at Animal Gardens.
Mary Ann
Mary Ann,
"So that we may caress the tiger?" Man, if that isn't a reach!!! That is akin to purchasing a Scooby Doo plush toy, "so that we may caress the wolf!!!"
The only thing I watched for in the baby barn, was to see how many cat's had gone, to be caressed like a tiger elsewhere.
Wade
Wade,
These animals are really white, not champagne or pale gray.
So maybe one of their many redeeming qualities is they are not faux white. I think a kitty cat act would be hysterical done in a cage .
Rebecca
Wade, ancient legend has it that when Apollo, the god of the sun, created the fierce tiger, his twin sister Diana, the goddess of the moon, created the kitten to mock him.
Mary Ann
Mary Ann,
That story sounds more authentic. Except you left out the part about Diana naming a part of the female anatomy the same thing, and how it would forever have control over Apollo and mankind, as further proof of women's dominance. The ultimate mock!!!!
Wade
Wade, do cats have control over roosters?
Mary Ann
Mary Ann,
In a sense they do. If the hen's have withheld the goods, as the cat's have instructed them to.
Wade
Wade, Rebecca raises a good point about the cats being white. Not that you give a rat's rear end for color genetics in domestic cats, but for anyone who does, here goes. White in domestic cats is dominant, unlike white in tigers where it is recessive. Black in domestic cats is recessive, as it is in leopards.
Mary Ann
Mary Ann,
What point? "These animals are really white, not champagne or pale gray.
So maybe one of their many redeeming qualities is they are not faux white."
An animal is either white, or it is not. Not a point to be made, just a fact.
