A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Wade, the exterior of the elephant building has not changed, but the interior is totally new. It consists of all protected contact enclosures for the elephants, with only one area inside one door for public viewing of the elephants when they are inside. Giraffes, okapis, and any other animals that may have once also occupied the building are now housed elsewhere in the zoo. All doors are hydraulic, and operated by a computer screen.
Mary Ann
Like Mary Ann has said, the interior of Cincy's barn is completely rennovated. They did a great job utilizing all the space to the best possible. A few problem blind spots, but a great use of space for holding a number of elephants in PC.
