Unknown Liberty Act.

Compare these older style muzzles to the ones on the Casselly horses. Note the range of the first horse in turning his neck with check reins on. which folks assume are for restraining the head. It is amazing what animals can do "if they want to."

Loose checks are just as bad as no checks at all. When a liberty act is well trainede and seasoned it is no problem to work them without harness, with exception nof some muzzles. I prefer all geldings and then there are no problems and geldings can do and look just as good as stallions. Rarely are trained liberty horses ever used for breeding.
