I know that because I trained Shush. He was raised by Jackie Zerbini, who named him Shush, because he was a "whiner" when he was a baby. He is the father of Obie, who is now in my son Adams act. Shere Kahn was trained by John Cox.

Campolongo was with obie on universal american circus. Did you trained some other tigres in this act?

I am not familiar with Universal American circus.
The act was originally trained by John Cox, and then presented by Jackie Zerbini. I added some new tigers to the act when Jackie retired. I think 5 and Shush. They were a great group of tigers, all descended from our white tigers, except Mr. T, who was purchased from David MacMillian as John Cox had trained him when he worked for MaxMillian.

Obie was also with trudy, not. When did jackie retired ? I have a program of the act when it was at krone.

I think Jackie Zerbini retired in 1988 or 1989. She was one of the only female tiger presenters from Hawthorn who drove the transport truck, and also did a great trapeze act plus the tiger act. Some just presented the tigers and somebody else drove the truck and they think they worked hard. Jackie presented the act, drove the truck and did trapeze. Pretty remarkable achievement.

Jackie Zerbini - great trapeze? No! Think spectacular, amazing, and unbelievable. Barefoot half twisting heel catches with the rigging basically strapped to the highest girders in the building. I never worked a show with her and the tigers but I did a year long tour with her and the trapeze and assisted from the ground for her. She amazed and enchanted me every single show. If her tiger presentation was of the same quality as her trapeze, then she is truly remarkable.

Jackie did a great job with the tigers, and was easy to work with. She had no preconceived notions. Drove truck, and 15 tigers and did her trapeze act. Yet she has never received much credit. She never spent a lot of time being "cute and charming" or hanging personal paper so she has been over looked.

wade I found some other names: MIA,Bali, bandor, pungi, shere-Kahn, debbie. Where did jackie presented the tigers ?

Mia was bought from Alan Gold, Bandar, and Debbie I trained. Shere-Khan and Pongi John Cox.
She worked just in the United States, mainly Hannaford and Carden the same like Susan Lacey.

Thanks for the information. Didn't Susan presented at Vargas and then at Cole Bros. and then back at Vargas and then came to Europe. Can you give me the names of the other tigers you trained for this act and in witch year did you trained the tigers ?

I have told you it is hard for me to remember all the animals I have trained. There have been so very many. Often if I hear a name, It helps me recall. It was 1988-89 that I worked with these tigers, when I stayed in Illinois when Campolongo went to Knie with the white tigers.
