The Elephants of trainer Gosta Kruse at the Cirque Pinder back in 1969. Filmed by Bob and Olga Schelfhout as part of the DVD film. "Bob Schelfhout - Cirque Pinder 1969." Shows that even in the late sixties the circus was already treating it's animals not as poorly as suggested by activists like PETA and ALF. Long life the Dutch Commissie Klassiek Circus!
Note this statement at the end: Scientific research has shown several times that there's no scientific evidence that the circuslife is cruel or bad for animals. Ethically it is not responsible to be against animals in the circus if you are not against pets, farms, zoos, safariparks or any other animal husbandry system. If you love animals, you must love the circus.
"I wonder why it is not ethically responsible, and I also wonder why you must love the circus, if you love animals??????? I wonder if it has anything to do with John Ringlings quote of "Damn every thing, but the circus? As far as I know we have been turning elephants loose since 1975 from the time I started with them to play, and I am positive for a lot further back then that."
