Edith Fryer Smith--Emile Smith's Mum

The photo above was in Istanbul and illustrates why you check the props before you do the act. The launch pedestal tipped just as this lion jumped.
This if a great looking group of baby elephants. We haven't seen something like this since the Carson and Barnes in the mid 70's
It is too bad that Edith was not born 40 years later. She could have become real famous by hanging some phony "Mum of Emile Smith" paper which became a popular means of self promotion in the mid to late 2000's. It would have made her seem better then she actually was.
