Dick Flint--Additional education/knowledge/understanding

Dick Flint--"what IS bothersome is not what I can consider ordinary movement but the constant playing by the lips with the bit." Dick, I have used the term "abuse with kindness" Watch the completely "free" horse's mouth/tongue in the above video with no bit or check reins. Watch for signs of irritation/anger/discomfort like ears pinned tail lashing. Most notable at 125, 340, 403,228,437. Watch the tail even after she dismounts and walks with the horse from 437 to the end. That's because she was standing on his back with no pad. The ear pinning and tail lashing through out the free "naked" performance was because she had no saddle and kept rocking off balance on his back, and had to use her legs to grip, bumping him with her spurs. Is the horse really happy? Why is he displaying signs of irritation/anger/discomfort all through the demonstration. She is what is known as an amateur(not paid to train) and she has a big following/fan club of 14-16 year old amateur(not paid to train) equestrians.

Dick Flint--"what IS bothersome is not what I can consider ordinary movement but the constant playing by the lips with the bit." Watch the completely "free" horse's mouth/tongue in the below video with no bit or check reins. Watch for signs of irritation/anger/discomfort like ears pinned tail lashing. You will note the tail momentarily at 208 when he bumps the left ribs up with his leg/spur to balance the horse to make a lead change from the left lead to the right lead. You don't know the ear pinning tail lashing because he was in a saddle which kept him off the horse back and balanced so that he did not have to grip with his legs and spurs. He stayed balance at the hips while the girl above had to lean forward, grip her arms at her sides, move all around on the horse back etc. etc. You note a neck rope which the horse welcomes because it has been trained to stay "between the lines". Note at 338 he let's go of the neck rope, yet does not change his position on the horse back. He stays completely balanced. Note at 410 when he does a spin, the horse does not have the comfort/guidance of the neck rope(nothing more then blowing on his neck) and looses his balance and panic's,) as a blind person feeling along a wall that all of a sudden disappears). At 414 he takes the neck rope(nothing more then blowing on his neck) and the horse immediately calms/relaxes and does a beautiful spin. Is this horse happy? Is he displaying signs of irritation/anger/discomfort through out the performance? He is what is known as a Pro(gets paid to train) He does not "abuse them with kindness" he trains them to respond willingly and to have confidence in his guidance, with saddle, spur, bit, and reins. And the horse isn't irritated, angry, or uncomfortable. They both love their horses. One horse responds back with happiness and respect. Animals talk with their reactions, we have to learn to interpret what they are saying.
