A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Nadia Houcke on Bertram Mills Circus.
P.S. My father was Freddy Yelding.
Sue,
Welcome. Thank you for the information. Not only did I not know that Freddy Yelding was your father, I had always assumed you came into the Circus from the "outside."
I hope you are well, and give my very best to Rudy.

I'm an "outsider." But I have an old program from the Bertram Mills Circus Summer Tour 1961. And this picture is in it. The headline & caption read: Bertram Mills Arabian Horses. A spectacular equine pot-pourri presented by Nadia Houcke and Norman Barrett and featuring 12 of Bertram Mills own magnificent thoroughbred Arabian horses.

Todd,
Thank you. I wonder why there would be two people presenting a liberty act, and how you would do it. I don't know what a "Thoroughbred Arabian horse" is, and I suspect that may be some of that "circus grandiose" language.
