A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

I love it. I love Mary Ruth, the costume, the horse but really Wade, My name is Mary Rivers...most people leave off the Downey now. I still acknowledge it as it is on a lot of websites.
Mary,
I am sorry, I just assumed all horse women had at least 3 names. Jeannie could have told me, but I just think she is trying to cause heat right now. LOL
Wade
Wade - Hey, I don't have 3 names! Nice try, but it won't work. I just call her friend and I don't blame her for dropping the Downey part.
Jeannie
I am sure Mary Ruth will enjoy seeing that picture on the blog. However the horse is not American Anthem but our fine regestered Appalooosa Stallio, "Apache Bandalero" that was with us for over 27 years. A nicer horse never lived and he did an excellent high school routine. Mary Ruth won the "gold" medal in equestrian competition during the hey days of our Int. circus festival and parade here in Sarasota. Yes, I trained him from scratch and Mary Ruth enhanced on his Passage and very nice slow cantering piroettes in both direction. His passage is very nice as can be seen, with horse and rider looking ver fine.
Johnny,
I am sorry, I meant to write Apache, but I guess I had Anthem on my head.
Wade
