Not being experienced with anything equine, I notice that two of our four presenters are behind the horse and two are in front. I believe the behavior comes from stopping the horse from going forward, but applying pressure from the rear, giving the horse no where to go but up. I do note however the horses being worked from behind have better looking "extension" in the front legs, as if maybe they are not afraid to stick them out there? Is the end result to work the horse from the front or stay on it's side?
