The new Orangutan House employs an innovative retractable roof over an outdoor exhibit. It takes seven minutes to open or close the motorized dome. This allows the indoor exhibit to be easily transformed into an outdoor space in warm weather and the greatest possible amount of space is always accessible for the animals. "What a great idea. While the structure may be visually unappealing to the human eye, it is about the animals after all.
