Wade, when you explained Tobianos and Overos I learned so much that I impressed Joe's nephew's new bride, who rides and competes, as her parents have done for years. Now would you please explain apploosas and POA's? Thank you.

I trained this act for Bill and Trudy, except for the finishing of the rear that Trudy does a great job with. I did have one of the horses named Quasar that did a very nice hind leg walk. I always referred to them as 14 hand small Apaloosa horses. Do not know if they were registered POAs. Number six horse was small 12 year old stud when I trained him and he was very easy to train, so I realized that age did not seem to be a factor in liberty training and in fact would prefer five year old as they have gotten that coltish crap out of their heads.

Mary Ann,

I am glad you went armed with that information Mary Ann. Beings your new niece is an equestrian, and probably familiar with creme, champagne, and cremello, if you had started telling her about "white" lions and then showed her a picture, she would have thought you were a goof. LOL

Wade, my new niece probably already thinks that I am a goof, but she appreciates my new interest in her passion. We also discussed whites and grays in horses. As you of course know, whites are born white with pink skin, and stay white all of their life, while grays can be another color and turn white as they get older, much like graying hair in humans, as I understand it. If I have it wrong, please correct me.

Trudys horses were Apaloosa. I could care less what "breed" they were. Any horse or pony with similar markings is an Apaloosa. Case closed. Where does all this crap come fom? Big and small horses have been breeding together for years. Some on purpose and otherwise as well.

You said they were POAs. The announcer always said "Ameriucan Apaloosa" In respect to the Nez Pierce indians, who were not in the little POA business but in the Indian pony business. I do not believe the carried registration papers with them, nor do I believe the Strongs carried alot of documentation as well. It all sounds good. I assume allk of your tigers are registered with the American Ass. of Tigers with full particulars.

STOP THE PRESSES!!!!!!GET ALL HEADS OF STATE TOGETHER---JOHN MILTON HERRIOTT HAS SET A STANDARD!!!!!!WE NEVER KNEW WHERE ANY OF THE CRAP COME FROM ANYWAY. CASE CLOSED. END OF DISCUSSION/STORY, AND JUST LIKE THAT WE HAVE A STANDARD THAT HAS ELUDED US FOR TWO CENTURIES!!!!!

Johnny,
Until you set "THE" standard the ringmaster could say any damn thing he wanted. Just as Arabian Nights can. It is Show business, not to be mistaken with Bull shitness. Respect for the Nez Perce!!!!!! Every Indian tribe in North America had Appaloosas( which they stole or won in war from the breeder) and Pintos(but not Paints). I don't think they announced Bill Buschbaums Pintos as Black and White to honor the Cheyenne or the Arapaho. The circus has even billed an elephant as being 300 years old. You can do and say anything you want John(read my comment to Jeannie, for further explanation). It's show biz,not to be mistaken for bull shit, GRANDIOSE. Damn John, the public was supposed to buy into it, not you. You were in the trenches with the rest of us.

Johnny,
Did you mean the American Association of White Tigers with Full Particulars?
Or did you mean American Ass of white Tigers with Full Particulars and the period got in the way. LOL
I objected strongly by the way, when Ringling started to call the White tigers Burmese and they stopped. I have just always been a little more comfortable with fact and not make up things. I guess I wasn't that with it and for it. But I love it no less then you do.

My wife's act is announced as American Eskimo Escapade's. What we actually own are 3 Finnish Spitz, and a couple of Japanese Spitz.

Never believe what the ringmaster says......

Casey,
May the great lady rest in peace, Gee Gee must have had the same breed of in her act. Only she must have been a better trainer, because they pulled a dog sled with her in it. In regards to that ringmaster crack, not in all case's. When he said America's Greatest to announce me, he had his hand on the Bible and you could take it to the bank. Ask my mother if you don't believe me.
