I think she got a bum rap here in the states. When Ringling coined the famed "tiger whisper", it was greeted with a lot of hoot's and hollers with in the industry.

Wade,
You don't think it was because the act worked slowly, and was maybe seen as boring. I am certain she is capable, but when I saw the act it did nothing for me. Not necessarily her fault, but boring just the same. The act even had some great tricks in my opinion (swing not included) it just didn't have any excitement.

That had nothing to do with it. Compared to some other act's it was quite fast and exciting. There was a lot of jealousy(theres that word again) and scorn to the title "Tiger Whisperer", and the publicity that followed. I know because I was living in Florida at the time, and I'll bet a hundred of the supporting, encouraging circus community ask me what I "thought of that crap." When I said, "give her a chance" they thought I was nuts.
I know a wild animal trainer who was working on the east coast at the time, who kept an extensive collection of "Sara" interviews and publicity, and had breast augmentation a year after the sensation of "The Tiger Whisperer" in an effort to reclaim the accolades.
I am glad blond hair like GGW only cost me 35.00. No way could I have sprung 3000.00 for cosmetic surgery.
Many are angry and don't understand Sylvia Zerbinis inclusion into the Ring of Fame, but they sure can't deny she has a beautiful act, and did a bang up job for Ringling Bros. The same deal was dealt to Sara.

Wade - what did you need enhancing that would have cost you 3 big ones?

Nothing. That's why I was glad I just had to pay for a bleach job to "be" GGW. If I had had to pay for a "boob job" so they would quite asking me about the "tiger whisperer" I wouldn't have been able to swing it.
