"Old school"---"New school" What does one have to do with the other?

Wade, "Old School" is the foundation, kind of like the invention of the wheel, but it was very primitive. It is to be learned from, and improved upon. We still have the wheel, but it is used in many diverse and sophisticated applications. "New School" should not be thought of as a static set of rules, but dynamic, always changing, always improving.

Mary Ann,
If I understand "static set of rules" then a standard would only hinder that. If you are going to change the use of your car from a mode of transportation, into a beautiful, dynamic flower box, wheels are not a concern. Then we decide who has the best car, Richard Petty or Mr. Green thumb. LOL
