A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.
I would like to see this act, as it looks unique and different, granted only suited for the smaller one ring format.

Wade - The Bale sisters did something similar on the Lipizzan Show.

Jeannie,
I recall their carriage, but I'm thinking more the whole production of them man riding, the Borzoi's being part of the act, etc. etc.

Wade - I'm looking for my Lip Show programs. I think there is a picture. Col. Bale rode Stardust and the girls drove with the rig attached at the withers like this one so they could turn completely around. If I find the program I will try to get it scanned somewhere to send to you. I don't have a scanner.

Definitely Cirque d'Hiver last season. The act is now in Germany with Roncalli.
John.
Yes the Bale girls did two gooseneck hitched horses and at the same time Trevor rode Stardust and Bonnie rode Sidesaddle. Anice period type production very well done on the Lip Show. I was there. Glenn Randalls wife and daughter-in-law also did the gooseneck buggies on horse show and rodeo dates. Also very well done. There have been others of a similar style here in America.
Again, I was referring to the over all presentation of horses and Victorian type dogs.

Col. Herriott - That's the part I forgot - Bonnie on the sidesaddle. They also did it as a Russian number with runners on the sides to look like sleighs. I was there, too, but not at the same time you were and unfortunately not the same time Dianne was.
