Cirque Raul Gilbault Medrano

Just because it is from Europe is no guarantee of greatness. Anymore then a family name is. It will always be about individuals. This is the act that John Herriott noted the sloppy oblique. Wouldn't you rather compete against this, instead of a Knie or Casselly offering? John Cooper, there is a famous equestrian family from England, and I do not recall the name now. There is a son working as an instructor/trainer at a riding stable. Maybe the name starts with an S. He is the one who trained this act, and watched it crumble shortly after delivery. I have been there, done that way too many times. There are not too many artists, that enjoy watching their painting get destroyed regardless of whether somebody else owns them.

Wade,

Look closer to these horses, they are not the same like on the Monte Carlo Picture. On this picture we can see brown arabians with trainer Guy Saad. It's a very classy and clean presentation. The horses owner is or was Tony Hopkins from the UK. They used to be with Medrano France for several months while Carlos Savadra went to the Circo Price in Spain with the Medrano's liberty act. On the MC picture you can see Carlos Savadra's old Palominos liberty doing the oblique.

Vincent,
Saad was the name I was looking for as well as Tony Hopkins. Both competent individuals. I thought the lights has changed the palominos to a lighter color. Arabians can't be brown, were they bay or chestnut? What year did Carlos go to Spain if he was at MC in 2005, and who delivered the new horses to Medrano France in 2005.

Yes Wade, the color brown doesn't exist for any kind of horses (at least in French) but sometimes I try the easy solution because of my English minimal skills. Hopkins Arabians color is ALEZAN in French which is chestnut in your language I think. The Palominos you have seen in MC are retired as far as I know. Carlos Savadra was at the Circo Price in 2007. The new Arabians come from Wagenfeld-Stroehen in Germany. Tim Delbosq broke them. Their names are: Gaza, Ankara, Katar, Mikonos, Mekka and Said. That will be nice names for Friesan LOL

PS will visit the Cirque Medrano from Raoul Gibault next week so will send you some pictures of these new guys.

Vincent,
Don't tell John Herriott about that brown color, he'll get pissed. LOL
What nationality is Tim Delbosq? Was his father a pretty well know trainer? It may be him I am thinking about. Who brought new horse to Savadra in 2004?

Glad Vincent got there before me. Merci, mon ami.
Tim Delbosq is British, and currently employed by Benny Berdino for Circus Arena in Denmark, based at the farm/winter quarters. His father was Albert Delbosq (often known as "Del" but not by his staff!) was best known as a ringmaster. One of the old school.
