Quote from OABA WebSite

It is just incredible to me when statements like this are made. Has anybody done any follow up research on the "captive/hand raised adjustments Knut has made. Probably not, and it sound like a "radical one sided" statement.

In the "score one for the good guys" department, Knut the polar bear cub continues to draw large crowds to the Berlin (Germany) Zoo. When Knut was born in December, 2006, his mother rejected him. Animal rights activists called on zoo official to euthanize Knut, because according to their warped philosophy, being raised by humans would not be natural for the polar bear cub. Wisely, the zoo officials (along with about 99.999999 percent of the world's population) thought that raising Knut in the company of humans would be just fine. And, they were right. Knut became a popular icon in Europe, even landing on the cover of Germany's Vanity Fair magazine. He still attracts about 15,000 visitors per day, and it is estimated that more than 3 million people have paid homage to the cuddly little polar bear. Take that, you mindless animal rights fanatics!
