A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Also a very nice tiger exhibit, with the replica of an ancient temple.

Mary Ann,
For myself, the Temple took some getting used to. Once I did, I agree it is a thing of beauty.

I have actually wondered whether the temple is'nt disrespectful like using someone's church as a barn. I assume it's a Hindu temple. I've never actually been to the Metro-Miami Zoo.
Paul, I don't believe that any disrespect was intended in having the replica of the temple used to house the tigers. I think it was done because in Asia many tigers actually do occupy old temple ruins.
