I went to Janesville and saw the calf when it was 10 months olds, and it was approaching winter time. I suggested, by what I saw that it wasn't "true white". When I saw it a few years later, I laughed and said, you should have ear tagged her and painted the horns red, otherwise I have to take your word that that is Miracle. LOL

Wade - Wow, I would not think that was the same animal. The paper as I remember only showed a picture as a calf. This caused me to go back and search more. I found a couple of more articles about Miracle, one is http://www.channel3000.com/news/9834078/detail.html# and the other is about a second calf born at the same farm in 2006 named Miracle's Second Chance, even though they say she was not related to Miracle. This article states that Miracle went through 4 color changes - white, black, yellow and red - before "settling into a red and brown coloration" and had begun to lighten when her death "interrupted" any further color changes. This article is http://www.snowwowl.com/flashmiraclesecondchance1.html.
Your blog is really getting interesting and educational. I look forward to reading it each day.

Jeannie,
Thank you. That's how people get stereotyped, somebody takes somebody else's word without getting to know the individual If you had any "horsey" pictures, I would be glad to run them.
