The Wonderful World of Dancing Horses

Madame Col. Rossi piaffing Lucas at a show she produced in Reno, Nevada. Lucas is currently in Holland, and Madame Col. was invited to the Fresian Federation this winter to ride Lucas in a well received demonstration of The Dancing Horse.
Madame Col. and her world famous Red Fresian stallion, Fire Magic. Affectionately nicknamed Chewy. Fresians of this color are very rare, rarer even then the Black Lipizzan. Initially they were not recognized as breeding stallions, because of his color. That has now changed. Not only will Fire Magic produce incredible performance horses, the excitement of waiting for a certain color, is second to none. Take it from someone who has bred white tigers for 33 years. Two Christmas's a year. One on the 25th of December, the second the day that baby hits the ground.

If you ever get a chance to see footage of the late (and incredibly lovely) Phyllis Allan showing a horse on the long rein (or showing any animal act, come to that), then take that chance.
Great cook, too, although she baked a cake for my 40th birthday (a few years ago) when we were on the same show, and then wouldn't eat any of it!
The world hasn't been as nice a place since she left it.

John,
If you have any photo's please send them. I have heard of Ms. Allans prowess with a long rein, but never saw it.

I'll see what I can find. But be aware that Phyllis HATED being called "Ms". She was MISS Allan, never having married, although the opportunities must have been legion, and the tales she told!!!!!!

John,
Mrs., Ms., Miss, is one of those British terms I never could understand after 6 years, so I apologize to Miss Allen and her memory. LOL

It's a "politically correct" matter. I believe the idea is that as "Mr" doen't indicate a man's marital status, certain people decided that there should be something similar for the ladies. Hence both Mrs and Miss were combined as Ms.
You owe Phyllis an even bigger apology. Her surname is/was Allan rather than Allen. Scottish and proud of it!

John,
I guess "certain" is the operative word here. Most would know what their marital status is, wouldn't you think. Others might not. Yes, I apologize to Phyllis Allan again. And in advance for any other mistakes I may make. I would rather face a dozen enraged tigers, then be in a hair splitting, head butt contest with a Scottish gentleman. William Wallace showed me all I needed to know. LOL
