For Mary Ann Howell and Paul McCartney

This picture is the only one known of the original "5" Hawthorn White tigers. It was taken with a new fangled deal called a "fish eye lens" in 1978. Because of the size of the act, you had to go too far back to get all of the animals in the picture, and this was the technology available at that time. Ignore the blonde hair and pink costume please.

Tony is in the middle. To his left is Frosty, Ari, Begum, Nicky, Bengali, Rema, Kashmir, and Baby. To his right is Bagheera, Ika, Kahn, Rajah, Rahani, Tora, Sultan. Standing between Begum and Nicky is Margaret, who posts here often. She is the mother of our two oldest son's Adam and Eric. Adam has his own tiger act with tigers descended from this original group, and Eric is in college studying to be a Chef.

I don't remember Wade, did Billy Barton make this one for you?

Margaret,
Nice try. We both know who made the costume with the expensive plastic backed Aurora Borialis rhinestones, the cost of which made John Cuneo gag.

I'll ignore the blond hair, but who could ignore that view! Woo Hoo. And the cats look nice too. Is it true blonds have more fun?

Jeannie,
When you were hanging paper for "Wrangler butts" on Buckles Blog a few months ago, I told you, you hadn't seen anything yet? The only thing that rivaled the excitement of my backside clad in pink, was the Feld signing of GGW, the zoo world equivalent of the discovery of Snowflake in the jungles of Africa.
