The younger one is Douglas Kossmayer and the older one is Wensel, his father. Wensel trained the first 20 elephants for Chipperfield's after the war. Both worked on Chipperfield's on and off for a few years. I still see Douglas from time to time. He is married to Penny Smart. We worked together on Louis Knie's Austrian National Circus, where he was stablemaster and sometimes worked the horses. He is a great friend mine and also a great friend of the Chipperfield family. His father was one of the greatest elephant and horse trainers of his time.
