Another STL Zoo classic. Brookfield and Colorado Springs copied this building. The center cage is now gone but the area is planted and marmosets are displayed in the area. In the exterior shot the tower to the right of the door was the area for George Vierheller's office on the second floor. The office was later occupied by R. M. Perkins (also the scene of where I first saw my "to become" wife when she applied for a job in 1968. The Ape House in the drawing opened in 1941, the adjoining Chimp Arena in 1942.

Did Kathy do a "Rapunzel" deal out the tower window? Did you actually work when you were on the clock, or did you just goof around scoring with broads? :)

I forget the bogus reason I happen to be in the office at the time. I would often drop by the office if only to share some wisdom, or get an early look at the new girl they hired.

That was my assumption, but rather then accusing, I preferred that you confess. I have used a similar modus operandi most of my life. God bless show business.
