That is not Bronx Zoo. Must be Central Park. Pete was the Bronx's only common hip from the time of his arrival in 1906 until his death in 1953. This card shows two hippos.
Central Park zoo was the first in USA to breed hiopos in large numbers.

That's why I posted it with the other picture's under "Vintage Central Park Zoo." The corner post's on the enclosure was the tip off for me.
