These photo's were sent labeled 'Frankfurt Zoo 1960?' I don't know if the question mark was for the location or the year? The clothes look 'newer' then 1960. A leather pad does not seem like a safe situation, but we know of one operator in a European circus who use's nothing, not even a pad for rides.
