Often times with a little less money and a little more thought similar "affects" can be achieved. Time spent inside in harsh Denmark winters being the greatest concern, and the "killer whale slide out" in the Riverbanks exhibit not with standing, the below exhibit evokes "stumbling upon a jungle clearing," more adequately then the above.

That "realistic waters edge" looking ramp to enter/exit the water just below the elephants. All nice whale shows have one, so the whales can slide out and do a tail salute to a nice fanfare.
