A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Avard Fairbanks Puma Sculpture
The Puma's, created by Avard Fairbanks in 1947 for Hogle Zoo's entrance, were refurbished in 2001 and then incorporated into the zoo's new entryway.

Scott hunting tigers in Nepal. http://www.historylessonsnepal.blogspot.com/2011/06/white-tiger.html By the way yesterday, Halloween Eve, was the 55th anniversary of the birth of the first litter of white tiger cubs to be born in captivity. Mary Ann celebrates it as "Mohini's birthday". Don't eat too much candy. Sincerely Paul
