No further action on Massachusetts elephant bill this session

No further action on Massachusetts elephant bill this session

Thank you to all the Circus Fans and supporters who contacted members of the Massachusetts state legislature regarding Senate Bill 1706, regarding the use of elephant management tools. On Friday, March 16, the Committee on Tourism, Arts, and Cultural Development voted to place the bill into study, which means that the bill should not proceed any further this legislative session.
We will continue to monitor the bill and will keep you apprised of any possible developments during the remainder of this session.
Please feel free to forward this e-mail to your contacts, and this information has been posted on the CFA/OABA grassroots website at http://www.grassroots.circusfan.org/index.php. Thank you again for your help on this issue!

'Is the insanity ever going to stop. The United States is at was right now, with American soldiers losing their life's daily, while back home we are busting our nut's to ban "elephant management tools!!!!" Can somebody name me an particular piece of animal training equipment that has had this much time and money wasted on it's eradication? Just one. It is not an Iron Maiden, a Rack or even asbestos based paint. For Christ's sake it is a spur!!!! I can walk into any tack store and buy any one of dozens and dozens of different varieties and types, depending on what my situation calls for, and you don't want an elephant trainer to have even one?'
